June's film is finally here, and with it, a revelation. The idea behind the 12 rolls in 12 months project was to push me deeper into my love of the analogue process, but with that has come a certain amount of pressure, which is the opposite of the care free feeling I was seeking. When I'm on other work related projects, I rarely have time to go down the personal project road, and when I do have time, it's usually spent with family. So that's what I end up shooting. With that said, I am extremely excited that I will have actual negatives of my boy growing up. In a perfect world, I pass this personal passion onto both him and his upcoming little sibling.
May was a great mix of excitement and care free vibes. My birthday fell late in the month, so I obtained an early birthday present of a new (to me) 50mm for my Leica, since my old one became cross threaded. I took average sun/shadow meter readings before leaving home and carried it everywhere just in case something sparked my interest. This is all Kodak Tri-x 400 on a Canon 50mm Serenar. I'm already excited to run a roll of color through next month.
Bonus frames from testing a newly acquired Canon AE-1 Program.
