And now we play the waiting game...

It's been a few months since I've shot medium format, but I've been wanting to take a break from the quicker paced digital world. So I dug out the ol' Mamiya 645 and ventured downtown to rattle off a roll. I love the discipline of film. There's something about the process that resonates a certain level of meaningfulness that can get lost with digital. I don't know if it's the chemical process itself, the authenticity of the stock, or the sense of not knowing exactly what your image will look like until after it develops. There's a level of integrity that is inescapable, which is why no matter how accessible and cost effective digital has become, I'll always practice the art of film alongside it. Here are a couple test Polaroids from today's adventure. I can't wait to get the whole roll developed tomorrow.
